Welcome to the American International League of Florence Onlus Website!

The American International League of Florence Onlus (A.I.L.O.) began as an informal American association and has since expanded into an international organization with members from many countries around the world. Currently we have some 230 members with 50% of our membership American citizens, 20% Italians and 30% of other nationalities. The language of the A.I.L.O. is English, which is used for all meetings and official publications.

A.I.L.O. strives to promote friendship and understanding between its members and the Italian community through cultural and social activities.

A.I.L.O. is a volunteer organization administered by an Executive Board elected by the members. Members are encouraged to initiate and participate in the varied activities, which are open to all members.

The ONLUS in our name stands for Organizzazioni non lucrativi di utilità sociale (Non-Profit Organization for Social Usefulness). The purpose of this organization is to contribute to community well-being through programs of social assistance and fundraising for charity in the city and province of Florence.
